Adapting to Win: Pason Global's Sales & Marketing Approach in a Competitive Market

By Azamat Yunusov, Director of Sales & Marketing, Pason Global

At Pason Global—the only IAMTrusted Moving Company in Beijing—we aim to focus on our unique benefits and what exceptional value we can deliver to our customers. Furthermore, we continually adapt our sales and marketing approach to not only maintain revenue, but also strive to be the name that instantly pops up in your mind, just like you instantly think of Google for search engine or Coke for soda, we want Pason Global to be synonymous with Value, Professionalism, and Peace of Mind when people think of moving.

I wanted to share some of the things we’ve been doing that are actually making a difference in delivering value to customers, and sharing some specific strategies that have worked for us, hoping to benefit all our moving colleagues worldwide.

So, how are we adapting? Here’s the honest truth.

The Moving Guidebook: Our “Secret Weapon” for Trust (and a Stress-Free Experience)

This book has been a game-changer in boosting our customer experience. We created the Pason Global Moving Guide, and after each survey, we give a free copy to our customers. We’re also creating engaging viral videos for our social media, making sure to include a QR code at the end for a quick guide download.

Our guidebook is packed with checklists, tips and Q&As that cover everything that helps customers to have a well-organized and stress-free moving journey.

Giving away this guidebook has made us look like total pros. We rarely get those frantic, ‘OMG, what do I do?’ phone calls anymore because people actually feel like they know what they’re doing. And you know what that means? Happy customers! And happy customers send more business our way. It's a win-win.

Strategic Partnerships: Thinking Outside the "Moving Box"

I know what you're thinking: “Partnerships? Sounds like a headache.” But hear me out. We wanted to think outside the box, so we partnered with an international hospital and sent them our branded boxes. They created video content featuring their physiotherapists demonstrating proper lifting techniques for various needs with Pason Global-branded boxes.

This video series shows that we care about our customer’s health, and it’s getting our name out there in a totally new way. Plus, with both companies sharing the videos, we're reaching a much wider audience.

The key is creativity. Think about businesses that share your values and complement what you do. And, if you have any brilliant partnership ideas of your own, let us know.

Adding Value: It’s More Than Just Moving Stuff

I always tell our team, “We're not just moving boxes; we're moving lives.” Cheesy, but true.

One way we show we care about our customers is by having multilingual team members so customers can feel comfortable sharing their personal needs. At the end of every move we ask our customers, “What is the one thing we could do to improve our services?“ That question is gold. It helps us see our weaknesses and strengths clearly, and we find out what customers really value.

Based on that feedback, we take action, creating a better experience, improving our business, and inspiring fresh marketing ideas, helping us address peoples’ needs and pain points with valuable and relevant information.

The moving business is certainly competitive, but by focusing on what we do best, always looking for new ways to add value, and finding unique ways to answer the powerful question of “Why should I do business with you versus someone else?” we can stay ahead of the crowd and succeed.
