Government Policies Play Key Roles in Shaping Industry

We cannot deny that the effects of politics permeate everything in our lives and routines, even if we aren’t always aware of it. In November 2024, the U.S. presidential election made waves worldwide. People from all over the globe were paying attention, wondering who would win. Finally, Donald Trump was announced as the next president of the United States. This shows that elections, no matter where they happen, can affect everyone. For example, the Thai election in 2023 also brought big changes for the people in Thailand. It’s true that that elections can impact industries, including the moving industry.
Government organizations in Thailand, especially the Customs Department, play a key role in shaping the moving industry. The Customs Department influences important factors like taxes, tariffs, and transportation costs, which affect both international and domestic moving businesses. Because of this, people working in the moving industry have to adapt to changes in the global economy.
The ideas and attitudes of a country’s leader are also very important for the economy of the moving industry. A skilled leader who understands how to manage the country’s industries can help both workers and business owners thrive. However, if the leader struggles to govern effectively, people in all industries might face higher costs and other challenges.
For instance, there was recent news in Thailand about the government’s plan to increase the VAT (Value Added Tax) from 7% to 15%. Although the government later announced they would not make this change, it raised questions about how businesses, including those in the moving industry, would handle such a significant increase in costs if it had happened.
This shows how much elections can impact industries like moving. Choosing leaders who have good attitudes and management skills can lead to big benefits for businesses. Remember the saying, “You are what you choose.” Make sure to use your voting rights to guide your country and industries in a positive direction.
